I apologize if this thread is unnecessary or is preaching to the choir but I'm really gettin' tired of average nikkas with one basic flow like Mac Miller and Action Bronson getting so much hype, exposure and love because of their corny sound and ghost-like skin. If Mac was black he would be in the same position as someone like Earl Sweatshirt, maybe worse because he's not as talented.

So far the only cac rappers I fukk with are 3rd Bass, The Beastie Boys, Eminem, Lil dikky, Brother Ali and Slug.

Mac, Action, Riff Raff, MGK, Yelawolf etc etc have never gone gold...what white privilege do you speak of? You don't the hype around these artists? You may not like these artists, but there's hardly any privilege with the two you mentioned.

Whites being annoying have extended way past rappers, and annoyance. More like an infection, or infestation.

I strongly dislike racism and prejudice yes, and injustice. I don't practise it though, so I don't care if someone is white or whatever, doesn't mean anything to me, if the music good it's good, not it's not. There's some white rappers I like, some I dislike, some I respect, some I don't, just like with any race. Everything is on an individual basis. My favourite white rapper is Brother Ali, don't even think Slug is white but I have a lot of respect for his artistry whatever race he is, Vinnie Paz has some nice shyt with JMT, Rugged Man Legends Never Die was nice, Macklemore is talented and can rap so I can't be mad at him, I know there's mad people missing out but just a few names.

No.

And the reason why, is because white rapper privilege only exists amongst people and things that hip-hop isn't even supposed to give a fukk about. Everybody wanna be so hip-hop and pro-Black these days, but the way I remember it, hip-hop didn't give a fukk about who got nominated for Grammys or who Rolling Stone thought was great. Hip-hop didn't give a fukk about people outside of hip-hop culture liking it. It was cool if they did, dont get me wrong... but it wasn't being treated like a rite of passage. We get hype about this shyt like it's for us, and it's never been. For some reason, we got to a point where everyone embraced hip-hop so much, nikkas actually cared that we finally got invited to play at the sandbox. And now that we find out that we're not really all that welcome at the sandbox anymore, we cryin'. When we didn't give a fukk about the sandbox one way or the other, none of this shyt mattered.

And it could also be cause I grew up in a different era. Maybe I'm just old and should be bothered by this, but it's just hard for me to give a fukk. Cause I also remember when white rappers were actually NOT privileged, and being a white rapper wasn't exactly the easiest sell there was. There are probably less than 10 white rappers who have gone platinum. There are a lot more white rappers who've flopped.

Flipside of that coin is, Im sick of Black privilege in Hip Hop. Too many garbage azz non rhymin n!ggas putting out music nowadays. Saw a video on Saturday of some little dude with what appears to be growth defect talkin about he's so awesome, or I so awesome. Video full of cliches. Music was trash. Lyrics were trash. Too many garbage Black artists are getting too many passes. These trap rappers and drill rappers are trash. Fair is fair, fukk white privilege and Black privilege in this music we love.

Rappers in general right now are trash but aside from Mac and Bronson I do feel like certain publications and outlets are more prone to latch on to white artists than black. You can see it in other forms of music as well these days. They're shuffling black artists back to where we were pre Michael Jackson in the 80s.
