Easy to say you don't care then you don't know how to act when the actual day comes.

You don't know what going on behind the scenes with someone family and there maybe a legit reason why some people have decide not to attend Thanksgiving this year and beyond. We should respect their choices and move on.

Also, you shouldn't just start a family just because of a holiday. Finding the right people to have one is more important and there are a abundance of examples of people who had kids with the wrong one and their lives are miserable beyond Thanksgiving.
