Why does this sound exactly like "if you simply just follow the police officers instructions then you'll never have any problems with them"

As if people don't bring their domestic issues to work or have unconscious biases that lead to them treating you like shyt no matter how much you treat them like a human being

That sounds like a YOU issue.

As if customers don't bring THEIR issues (domestic or otherwise) when engaging with service people just doing their job.​

True, but some places are garbage. I bought an expensive ass couch from Calligaris. Warranty is 5 years. I had to jump through hoops just to have someone come over and “service” it. The frame is fukked but dude fluffed some cushions, adjusted the middle leg and said the sofa is fine. This is after 8 months of sending them all these pictures and having them say nothing is wrong and having an attitude with me.

Just like that thry will never see a dime from me. Don’t take customer service seriously in todays day and age of social media, you will get wrecked.

That's fukked, but, from the service side, there have been numerous times I've had to go to a customer's residence during a heating emergency (no heat/hot water in winter) only to have them follow me everywhere and then, after I leave, call the shop accusing me of stealing.

How did I steal anything when you're up my ass as soon as I walk in the door?​

Much of what’s deemed “poor” customer service is in response to how the customer is treating the one administering service. Other complaints of “poor” service often stem from the unrealistic expectations of customers who make unreasonable demands that someone in the customer service rep’s shoes can’t meet for any number of reasons - hierarchical (i.e. they lack the authority), logistical (i.e. they can’t expedite a delivery constrained by their supply chain), etc.

One more thing: customer service people caught literal HELL throughout the pandemic. They should have gotten more money above and beyond any stimulus for the nonsense they had to endure due to factors outside their control.

Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Home Depot, all the cats involved with HVAC, contractors, medical professionals, etc.​

Sometimes the bad customer service I get is simply because I’m black. I’ve seen the way folks will tighten up and roll out the red carpet once a cac walks in

People like OP only have this energy when it's related to black owned businesses. One screw up and they're done.

But Amazon can fukk up their order 200 times and they still have Prime.

So yes, don't really have that problem anymore tbh because I don't go to Wendys and other cheap fast food places
