Is anyone here a sociopath?

Sociopath is one of those terms people throw around without researching the meaning. I've been called one before and after I did more research I don't think I fit the description completely.

A lot of people will throw sociopath around to anyone that puts their self first or don't show empathy to every human being. I put myself first and may not care about every type of person but I can still experience empathy. People don't understand how rare it is to meet someone who is a sociopath at heart rather than someone putting on a mask to compensate for their bad experiences or lack of self esteem.

I think you will find people who pretend to be sociopathic online to provide themselves with a sense of power and control they don’t have in their real lives.

In reality you’ll find more social maladjustment tinged with feelings of resentment and frustration, wrapped in false narcissism due to loneliness than you would genuine sociopathic tendencies. Or at least that’s mainly what I’ve seen in terms of major pathology.

Social-emotional/pseudo autistic social deficits have a much different flavor than genuine sociopathy.

I have a relative who is though and I don't think too highly of it. I'm a grown ass man not an edgy angsty teen so that term doesn't breed fascination and "coolness" to me breh.

The sociopathic individual I'm thinking of killed animals for kicks, is abusive, manipulative, and just dysfunctional. I keep that shyt the fukk away from me as much as possible.
