Is anyone here desensitized towards mass shootings?

I’m a little bit on the younger side here but I grew up with hearing about mass shootings since middle school. shyt is depressing no doubt but when I hear about another mass shooting im like “another day in America” but this recent shooting has not impacted me at all. Like I really don’t give a fukk.My momma was crying watching the news yesterday and I felt nothing. Anyone else the same?

i wouldnt say desensitized, but im definetly stoic on emotions and it leans more towards anger that this country is incompetent in stopping these mass shooting.

Not at all. The buffalo and Texas shooting proved that. Nobody should be desensitized to the growing rate of young men murdering elderly citizens after being radicalized online or killing literal children

I don't know how to answer that. Yes because the shock isn't lingering as it use to. Also, the response and talking points are so predictable it's almost routine. Then no because although the shock isn't there my heart still goes out to them.

Yes. I feel the country became desentized to them by by 2018. It's mindboggling that the public still doesn't know the story behind the Las Vegas mass shooting.

I literally wear a body camera everyday when I leave my house and always have my gun on me. I've forgotten my phone at home but had my gun on me. I've accidentally left my wallet at home but had my gun on me. I take the kids to the park with the gun on me. I brought it to the roller skating rink. I jog and/or ride on the bike trail with it on me. I've had it on me when I went to in person parent teacher conferences. Every time I go to the store. Taken it to the library.

Every time I think shyt is lax like "ok, I'm trippin, I don't need it today" or "I won't need it here" Something happens to reinforce what I thought was irrational.
