After the Kendrick pro-black revival, he have to get off of that drug-induced rap first. The market is changing, and hopefully he does too.

LOL pro-black revival? Who else is doing that kinda music that wasn't before? There's way more druggy rappers than positive ones and that ain't changing

Public Enemy, that was later undermined by gangsta rap

Its clear that a line has been drawn in the sand. Schoolboy Q can have a decent fanbase, but best believe that he have to up his game to adapt to the change coming ahead. You really think that rap is going to stagnate in the party phase for eternity?

We need balance, sometimes you want to turn up, sometimes you want something happy, something real and on like it was in the 80s and 90s.
Maad different flavors is what's needed, Asap and Schoolboy, Kendrick & Cole, Lupe and Kanye, Jay and Drake, Future and Dej Loaf, Nas and Killer Mike and on we need them all.

No one wants a bunch of Kendrick copies.

Yeah, but the market been oversaturated with non-lyrical party and trap songs for the past 10 years, but no one ever say a word about that.:mjpls: If anything, a few Kendrick clones will help the game.

Schoolboy Q can at least adjust to the skill level that K Dot put out there. That is all I'm saying.

Not for eternity but Positive rap hasn't been in the forefront of rap since 1991. I don't think anything is gonna change that any time soon. Look around you and what these kids are into. They not gonna be bumping positive rap.

His album was dope, he's not Kendrick though. Kendrick is an exceptional rapper few artists in any genre have reached that level of musical accolades during the 2000s.

Are we really gonna act like people haven't been complaining about the state of hiphop since around 03-04? :dead:. People are starting to celebrate hiphop now cause the balance is slowly creeping back.

His album was way too dark for my taste. I first heard his album while running a 2 mile jog and there were many times the lack of life in his songs made me want to quit.
