That's not the little girls fault.

A lot of children's story's and fairytales have very dark beginnings.

In beauty and the beast, the father basically sells his daughter into sex slavery. Should we run around attacking little girls for dressing like Belle? :stopitslime:
I've read some of the original fairy tales without the modern spin. They are legit scary.

you should forward her a source to what "actually happened"

Cultural appropriation is not wearing a costume.
Oh! wrong term then.:snoop:

I also thought she was wearing the disney pocahontas costume(photo wouldn't load on my phone), change of my original comment:

Most POC don't like "geisha" "native princess"etc. costume shyt because basically, some people are treating POC's Culture as a costume. To go further into explanation: we POC are always getting bullied about our culture, skin, etc. by white people...but when halloween comes around the corner, they the main ones be wanting to be like "us"(POC)...But they were the same ones talking shyt about our culture though. Do you think POC is gonna let you (white people mostly, but some other POC are guilty of this) slide for wanting to be "us" for one day a year when you shytted on us for 364 of those days? :stopitslime:

I didn't explain it right(?), But hopefully people get the gist of why poc, native americans, specifically are going in on this girl.

son. regardless of what actually happened, im telling you that she was never raped or fukked with at 12. if she was, it was her first husband that did it bc her father married her young.
stop trying to demean my knowledge when im the type of person to take mad books and articles and compare the story to put the puzzle pieces together.
you study pocahontas? no?
do it, then come and converse with me.

you claim to have "studied Pocahontas", whatever that means, and have yet to cite any sources to the material that you've studied.

To me, there's a difference between a generic "native princess" costume, and dressing up as an actual character.

Had she just said "woo woo woo im an indian" and wore stereotypical Native American stuff I would understand the outrage. But in this case she is dressing up as a specific character. That's what Halloween is about.

we're not discussing music, we're talking about a specific person, Pocahontas, not a broad category of Native Americans.

thats what my thing is too.. its not like she wore a black face and said im a stereotypical black hood guy.. its a disney costume of a very popular character.. people just wanting to start that faux outrage for attention or to pass off their immaturity to the masses

Why is this even an issue? I highly doubt people care enough to do thorough research before they don a costume.
