To me it's a waste of time most places on the net. Arguing with some random dude who's just going to skip over and misquote what you post to "win" an argument like they're going to win a prize at the end or some shyt. I don't mind getting into an interesting and meaningful discussion, but I drop it quick if it turns into nonsense.

One hunnid right here. Especially the first part.

Some people are poor communicators (throat chakra), despite talking with people all day. They do not speak with people but rather speak at people. When it comes to exchanging ideas, they do not have two-way conversations but rather have one-way conversations. These 50-page back-and-forth response threads are cases of ego. Life isn't about convincing the world to follow your "perfect" philosophy. You can't convert everybody and trying to do so is a waste of time. You are here to represent, speak your truth, live the truth and help others. Life's not about pushing your ego around, looking down on others, and fighting all day. Be about the truth - that's worth 1000 times more than just speaking and arguing about it. Once you reach that level in your life, you don't have to "argue" with people as much. In many of these arguments, neither side is listening to each other. That is why many of these arguments are a complete waste of time and exercise in futility.

Walk on.

Nope!

At worst, arguin' is practice expressin' my point of view.

With an open mind, it can be informative. Just have to argue with the right people.

And it helps me pass time at work.

For the most part yes. I haven't seen anyone change their stance on a topic due to another poster.

I have to say, although no one has completely changed my mind on an issue, I have been enlightened about some things I didn't know. As a result my viewpoint on certain topics is more nuanced than they were before I debated with certain posters. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's pretty cool.

the only time arguing back and forth on any messageboard is ok is if you are doing it to kill time before getting to something of real importance.

What's the point of "saying what you got to say and KIM?"

A few people have said that and that doesn't make sense to me.

What is this therapy? Why post your opinion if you aren't prepared for people to disagree with it? If you don't feel like arguing keep your thoughts to yourself. I was wondering how some of y'all have thousands of posts so quickly, turns out the coli is y'all personal diary. :skip:

Now I'm not saying try to debate obvious trolls:whoa: But the entire point of forum is back and forth. So to not want to go back and forth seems asinine. It's like refusing to shyt in a toilet. That's what it's for.

If you just want to give little updates about your day or whatever use Facebook/twitter/instagram/etc. and tell people who actually know you. My 2 cents.:manny:

I interpreted that to mean cut the back & forth before rebuttals get repetative.

Sometimes I think it's funny to leave my two cents...then somebody gets angry and writes a wall of text to respond and it gets no response...

Them posters go from 100 :mjlol: to 0:mjcry: real fast.

It's not worth acknowledging everyone on this site.
