Is at home 3D dead?

Was 3D just a quick fad and now it's dead?
I got my 3D projector and all, 3D bluray player .. 3D blus .. but nothing is happening anymore with it.. PS3 had the 3D update and now nothing..

kind of reminds me of the Sony Move .. and I loved ping pong in sports champions

It was never on... Failed from the jump based on execution alone. Having to wear goggles in the crib to get the full experience was Corny as hell.

Design fail all around.

3d was a fad back in the 1950s and was a fad when it came back recently. Until they make 3d without glasses, it'll always be a fad

3D has always been unnecessary and shytty to me. Depth of field allows you to tell what's closer and further away, I don't need the extra effects... and typically the image quality suffers as a result.

Its not needed but I prefer my blurays to have the 3D disc included just in case I'm in the mood to watch one

Facebook owns Oculus Rift, we're past the point of them being "geek gadgets" now when NFL/NBA teams are adopting the technology and will be offering viewing of games in the near future. This isn't just for games anymore, there are movies coming out being filmed in 360 degrees so you essentially feel like you're there, and there are already programs that simulate a movie theater.....



To the person wearing it, the screen looks like it's 20 feet tall.

Not sure.
Alot of PC games have 3D modes I never use though.

I ordered some Nvidia 3D glasses from china for like 3.99 and they work great... but they are collecting dust now.
