Think about it. gayTL the biggest city in rap so they have some say so in whats hot. Chicago get poppin, LA, MIA etc...

But Houston was right up there at one time. But then Texas nikkas start puttin weak ass ATL nikkas in checc

TI came to texas and got his ass beat up
Pimp C went to ATL n dissed da city
Future got shot at in Dallas
etc..

Is ATL blaccballin Texas cuz we stay punkin them?
How can that be when a Houston rapper (trae the truth) is signed to T.I's label? :leostare:

Nobody big to carry Houston, the only rapper doin something outta houston right now is RiFF RaFF....Let that shyt sink in play boi :birdman:

Houston was THE city in Southern rap from the late 80's to the late 90's until No Limit came thru and crushed buildings.

During that whole Lil Flip/Chamillioniare/Mike Jones/Paul Wall/Slim Thug era of Houston rap, even though they set alot of cultural trends, they didn't really run southern rap like they did in the late 80's and all throughout the 90's.

Houston doesn't have any new artist and some new nikka is popping in ATL every 6 months

yooo someone got a strangle hold on Houston rap scene. Its been to the point where you got to make it outside of Houston or be an artist from outside Houston but dig and can "imitate" the culture
