Is Atlanta really a top city in the US or is that just this forum saying that?

I moved from DC to ATL 4 yrs ago.

ATL can be generalized, however the area is so fukking spread out you can have any experience you want. I live in Atlanta proper and it's a totally different experience from living in the suburbs of ATL (Duluth, Stockbridge, etc). The nightlife is popping and there's always something to do. But it's not all stripclubs and VIP and shyt. It just depends. It has a city feel but it's still the south so the pace is way slower than DC or NYC. The traffic is bad but not nearly as bad as DC. Not even close. I like it here and probably will be here for a while.

Not only are most of these dudes homophobic but they are racist as well. They don't seem to mind mentioning SF which has an equal/greater population of gays.

Cost of living is generally lower and pay is mos def lower in general (employment rate varies metro to metro). The A is much better in regards if you're trying to start your own business, rather than finding a job (everyone and they moms are moving down there).

I live in NC and ATL is real cool thought about relocating after college. The housing market is great, thick women, and nice weather. Every time I visited it just always seem like there's something to do.

Wherever you go your experience is what you make it...I'm not a fan of the south but it has it's pros and cons as,any city does...but I definitely wouldn't rank it as a top city...

Just like jobs and freedom led many of us up North, we need to relocate like we once we did for better economic opportunities. Really that simple. The South is killing anywhere else in this department especially as it pertains to black Americans. Say what you want people look out for each other down here if you bout something.
