then why don't they do it? this goes back to that argument that people made that iverson scoring 30 ppg while shooting 42% isn't impressive because if you give any guard that amount of shot attempts they could score 30 ppg.

you know how many teams in the nba suck at moving the ball around? if you had a guy who could not only set up others at that volume but also give you hockey assist from his assist that's valuable.

harden's turnovers are a problem but then again the rockets are 3rd in assist per game and harden is the engine that makes it move.

The fg percentage argument is stupid at times

Difference between shooting 40 percent vs 45 percent is shooting 8-20 vs 9-20

All things considered, that difference is irrelevant a lot of times when you look at context

It's pretty big if you consider teams take over 80 fga/game. That's an 8+ point difference

yet another thread throwing shots at westbrook, nikka just had a triple double season fukk the turnovers and fukk the westbrook teammates. When someone like Bron has extremely efficient season then some of you muthafukkas start bringing shyt like oh he passes the ball instead of taking contested shot this and that. Like muthafukkas never happy.
I'm a Westbrook fan and I've defended him on multiple threads:camby:
I just don't see what's impressive about high assists if you are throwing the ball away too

the rockets have the 3rd best record in the league and are 3rd in team assist tho :skip:
That's because Harden is a great player and dantonis system fits those players perfectly. Doesn't negate the fact that he turned the ball over at an alarming rate

then their coaches should let them.

lol @ coaches handicapping their offense on purpose.

"i have a scorer who COULD score 30 ppg if i let him but imma just tell him to not shoot so much so he can score 20 ppg. :obama:"
It's not handicapping your offense if the cost of your player averaging 11 assists is 6 tos:yeshrug:. At a certain point you know the player is chasing assists

if those assist can open up your offense, get more transition buckets, get bigs alley-oop opportunities and wide open dunks of drop-offs, get players better jumpshots, and better driving lanes it's handicapping your offense to not do it.

You act like he gets bored and just flings it into the stands. If you're a WB fan then you've watched enough Thunder games this season to see Adams has developed stone hands, and Oladipo moisturizes his hands with baby oil before every game. Those count as WB turnovers for some reason. The way they record that metric should be reassessed.
