Of course it doesn't tell the full story, everything is part of a puzzle. There could be different proximities of shots. Rings don't tell the full story either.

The fg percentage argument is stupid at times
Difference between shooting 40 percent vs 45 percent is shooting 8-20 vs 9-20
All things considered, that difference is irrelevant a lot of times when you look at context
NO, nicca
I'm talking about comparing two marquee players
If iverson shoots 40 percent while being the only viable offensive option on his team, and ray Allen shoots 45 percent on a team where guys can shoot and create their own shot, then the difference in their fg percentages doesn't tell the full story
a 20 shot sample. You're better than this

You're comment was useless.I can't tell if y'all or trolling or if y'all are really this dense
How about Finals appearances? Thanks for letting us know why you've had a vendetta against traditional stat-keeping here for awhile - because they show guys you dont like (like Paul) in a better light than guys you stan (like Curry.)
Its fine, though, we can switch it. I know in past conversations you expressed a desire to focus more on deeper analytics than traditional boxscore numbers, so...
Which advanced metrics would you like to compare, Gil? PER? VORP? Assist percentage? Turnover percentage? Steal percentage? Box+/-? Offensive winshares? Defensive winshares? Offensive box +/-? Defensive box +/-? Winshares per 48minutes?
I'll save you the trouble:
Chris Paul is better in all of them than Stephen Curry.

One of the few that matters when you're splitting hairsDidnt realize that was an advanced analytic![]()

There is no perfect player. That's why threads like these are dumb. There are statistics that can bolster any argument for or against a player. Moreso star players who tend to face higher scrutiny. So just to review
-The Curry stans don't think high assists or assist to turnover ratio is that important
-The Russ and Harden stans dont think turnover numbers are that important
-The Kobe stans don't think fgp is that important
-The CP stan thinks high efficiency is very important
That about sum it up? :mjthink:
Why do you think that is breh?Cause they dont have coaches who let them do it![]()
