But they was flowin in that...

I'm really not a fan of AZ's flow, it seems like its always locked in step and unchanging. If you want me to add Z Ro and Trae to the list of 12 I already had I have no problem with it... AZ has some tracks I like, dont get that twisted. I just think its rappers out there with more organic and conversational flows

AZ's flow is dope but it's very repetitive, he doesn't switch it up to much

jay NEVER had a better flow than Az, he just wrote more memorable, succesful songs and more diverse that's what made him a better rapper, but not the flow, even in his prime

Jay always had the superior flow to AZ

give me one verse superior to this second az verse (I ain't even picking life's a bytch verse, it would be unfair)

or

to me in terms of flow az - rakim - g rap - pun - raekwon - prodigy - nas - rebel ins - biggie in their prime were all superior to jigga in their prime, not sayin he was average because he was ill but not on this nikkas level. And I'm not even talking about today where jay fell off hard (but he's not the only one)

Either verse...

you over exaggerate the flows of Rae, Punching Bag P, and INS

I can agree with this... AZ is nice, but as ol buddy said earlier, his flow is repetitive and the same all the time. He truly needs to switch up his flow, thus the diversity of Jigga's FLOWS make his better.

u can check the bpms of jay-z the instrumentals he spits on are faster tempo wise jay-z can rap in different styles and his rhyming is always on beat and also his syllable count is ridicilous in terms not going over a certain amount and also he has different vocal inflections.

u know what scratch that because now that i think about jay-z is better with rhyme schemes also because at least with jigga is not the same abab rhyme scheme format he introduces new rhyming syllables all the time and switches his rhyme schemes up witch if u anything about flow it effects your vocal inflections and u come up with different flow patterns.

If we're talking strictly flow:

Jay Z
Twista
Pac
Big Boi
Krayzie Bone
Big L
Biggie
Eminem
Kurupt
Big Pun

And that's off top. Is his flow even better than Bizzy or Lazy? I get it that he's hiphop and all, but let's be reality here :whoa:

Yes, on that smooth shyt he's impeccable, he may not have the diversity in terms of speed or styles as some others but in terms of precision he's up there.
