America just sucks when it comes to PT :manny:

Thank the car industry for making sure of that (so we all have to own cars to get around).

I read an article a few weeks ago about how WMATA is a laughing joke internationally about what NOT to do when it comes to keeping up public transportation maintenance and funding.

And people use it here because traffic sucks even more.
Well yeah true on all counts especially on why WMATA is used so much. America does suck for PT and the car is the reason for it. The US outside NYC is decades behind PT systems. But man, it's great when the car is just a luxury instead of a necessity and you can only get away with that in certain cities in the country. None in the South, unfortunately.

Over west a more diverse black populace since a lot of the Jamaicans, Trini's some Haitians along the Liberty Heights and Reisterstown Corridors. Reisterstown Rd turns very Jewish very quickly once you get around Reisterstown PLaza tho.

Over east his more diverse overall though, especially southeast Baltimore. Greeks, Spanish, Polish, Italian enclaves over there.

York Rd turns Lily white as soon as you get around Towson. The further out you go the whiter it gets on York Rd.

Woodlawn is almost as Middle Eastern as it is Black.

Owings Mills is a mixture of everything

Randallstown is solid Black Middle Class. I despise Liberty Road tho. I don't know what it is about that corridor that I hate so much.

York Rd turns lily white after Northern Parkway :russ:

When you talk culture you should be talking music, food, art etc and then seeing which region they align with most.

From an outsider viewpoint, I see Baltimore aligned with eastcoast tastes, while DC is unique in itself, with influences of east & south.

To be honest, York Rd is Lily white depending on what side of the street you're on even in the city. One side of York Rd is black, rowhouses, corner stores; the other side of York Rd is white, some rowhouses, mansions behind the rowhouses.

I don't understand it. It's a lot of models in philly. Philly got some beautiful women. I go there quite often. Better lookin than Bmore broads, IMO..

I've seen some good looking women there. But the good looking ones i've interacted with either live in the surrounding burbs or are preparing to leave the city for better opportunities with their looks.

Off-topic but I give BMore major credit for staying authentic. They haven't been taken over by gentrification like other major cities. With that said, that city needs a lot of work: it's just too many neglected area and high drug use areas there. Specifically in east side, baltimore looks like the east coast during the crack epidemic in the 70's and 80's. That's all I hear from out-of-towners whenever they come to visit riding through. They be in full amazement.

For a city that has a lot of black leadership they should be doin more the communities cu it's lacking.
