Went to a nikka camp and did 1v1 on these d1 recievers, i could compete on short routes but the speed was unreal... Nikkas got that extra gear and you just cant match them :francis:

Breh, a good high school cornerback could hold most of these dudes to 1 catch and 3 yards. :francis:

A good high school receiver would literally make them feel like a weak snail.

Football is not the easiest.

If i had to rank from easiest to hardest I gotta say:

Baseball

thats still a LIE> you said GOOD, what the hell is GOOD at basketball? being able to school your friends that are not that good? being able to run some clowns off the court at your local park(that in reality are not that good)? or be able to play and be decent against guys that are actually very good?

put it this way. i never played college ball. i never played pro ball in the states or overseas. but i knew i could hang if need be. i knew if i ever did train like those dudes. i would easily be at worse a solid rotation player and at best a possible star(barring injury). the reason i knew this was the case was any time i played vs these caliber players. I would always play at worse a respectable game. meaning my man was not destroying me at will, so it meant i have a certain level of defense IQ/Athleticism/Length that can translate up to the higher levels. My passes were not being picked off and i hit guys in the right spots. even though i knew my dribbles were shaky in comparison to a legit PG. no one could steal the ball from me and traps/pressure defense didnt scare me into a turnover no matter how big, strong, athletic my defender was. iwas never scared to go into the paint, was never afraid to take the open jumper, and would take a smaller guy down to the block. 99.9% of people who play basketball dont even have the basketball IQ to hang, let alone the athleticism, length, strength, skills. so there's no way to say its easy to be good at it. thats a lie. it may just come natural to YOU. or you THINK you're good and you really are not good at all. you just are better than the clowns your playing every saturday afternoon.

every time i use to play at a new place it was the same comment win or lose "Ay... Who you play for?"

after awhile i realized wait a second. i must be better than most of the people these guys are playing. even when i was young playing older guys they were swearing i would be some D-1 talent. i'm thinking i aint all that. but they could see a certain level of basketball savvy that most people dont have that are adults.
You just described me breh.

:salute: for also having athletic ability, instincts, and natural basketball acumen.

NO.

i've seen too many people that were 6'7+ with ZERO game and they have played basketball for years. I've seen people that were 5"9 to 6'4 and have played ball all of their lives and they suck. so again. NO.

MOST PEOPLE suck at basketball. but they dont know that because their level of comp is on par with their skills/abilities.

Do you know how hard it is to have the proper hand eye coordination to bounce a ball while running ,then to be able to go thru your legs or cross over or around the back at the right time to get by someone? do you know what type of balance you have to have in order to spin off of someone towards the basket without falling over your own feet?

some people it comes natural to them. or certain aspects of it. like dribbling for some really short dudes. or jumping ability, or even shooting for some. but dont mistake god given talent for "its easy for everyone" no. its easy for YOU.

soccer is just as easy for some and not others. notice this. in africa they play soccer, have been for years. they use to SUCK at basketball in those african countries. now they look a lot better overall. but most still suck.
Some more true shyt posted by @rapbeats. Most people who play basketball DO suck. I'm not saying I'm the greatest, but I'm pretty much retired from the sport (I'm :larryholmes: these days and play maybe 20 times a year), yet because I was pretty good at one point, I can still step on the court with people who play a few times a week and put in work just based on basketball IQ. A lot of people have no idea what they're doing out there. You can tell almost immediately who has only played pickup in their lives and who has actually played organized basketball. The difference is night and day.

Played high school ball in Alaska, didn't have great grades so he had to go to JUCO. Wichita State wanted him but he didn't like the coach so he went to Illinois State.
But how does that pertain to your thread's premise? Was he not a baller then all of a sudden he picked up a ball for a few months and he was able to ball out?
