i need to get on french montanas level :ohlawd:
Great you brought him up. I was thinking of him as I was making this thread...a lot of my friends shyt on him but don't see the positive outcome he made for himself by being loyal to his vision and aligning himself with the best business opportunities.

I think of emcees I worked with and they are so loyal to the hoods they come from that they think anyone who presents them with an opportunity is a trying to rob them on the back end lol. They allow their individual goals to suffer because they are afraid of what others will think of them.

I can't get too specific but I work in digital ad technology, my role involves the intersection between marketing and web development and bridging the gap (and there is still a huge gap). Basically I am in charge of making sure performance media is accountable and not just wasting advertising spend.
You familiar with Gap Analysis and change management?

No one is against opportunities...there are people who don't see opportunities because they don't have goals or view themselves as successful human beings...

In my case, I am a loyal person and that hindered my success in my last career and music aspirations. It can happen, whether you choose to believe it or not.
Like I said, you have issues. Loyal? To whom? For what?

Do you think that some people may not be able to see an opportunity when it presents itself?

I was introduced to the music business by a friend and was introduced to some major power players who could have helped me grow in the music industry. I wanted to see my friends succeed with me and tried to form my own entity and the friends I was loyal to disappeared on me...it happens, when you come from an environment where you want your friends to see your vision and have same opportunities as you, you make bad decisions.

Does this mean I have psychological issues, to you, yes...but to me, No, that is what I knew. As i matured and found what I am passionate about, I don't care what others think of me, I plan and execute.

Your chronology is a tad off. You didn't make bad decisions because of friends. You make bad decisions because you're inherently incapable of making right decisions. Ever.

I agree but what also disappoints me is that most of the people we look as successful either come from the entertainment or sports world...I read books on successful business owners...everyone who struggles and became successful don't leave any opportunities go to waste.

People usually say that when you are only out for self. Sometimes making bonds with people and being generally personable is advantageous. It's all about your motives because most people don't like fake people.

You are incapable of having dialogue. Too judgmental for my liking. Peace

Good you bring up people not liking "fake people"...it's so easy for people to label others fake for trying to be successful...but yes, there are fake/phony people and most of them come from the streets. in corporate world, at least they make it clear what they expect of you lol

Sort of. The problem is what stands between me and success is usually politics. I work in the agency world I'm looking to move client side.

So basically when I show what can be done in-house when web teams, marketers and technology partners (along with publi come together seamlessly and improve performance 500-1000% then you are going to have game changing standards being deployed throughout the digital ad industry period.

There is so much that can be evolved but right now the main barrier is political issues between vendors clients and agencies. Most people don't like irrelevant intrusive advertising and neither do I.

My goal is to help usher that change (of course make money doing it) and make a win-win for businesses and consumers to connect when the time is right. But it requires seamless collaboration that is rarely done consistently in the marketing/advertising industry digital ecosystem.

Fake as in having hidden agendas.

Like people who smile up in your face and flatter you, and butter you up because they want something.

People want to feel appreciated. They would like be to hang around them because they genuinely enjoy their company.

People will always choose the smiling face over the alternative. Look above at our interactions as evidence A.
