It depends on who and how it is being used. I can see it bothering women more than men, because being called their age bothers women more.

1)Are you flabby, sick, broke?
2)Are you in shape, attractive, and make good money?
If you answer yes to #1, then being call unc/auntie is an insult.
If you answer yes to #2, its a flex. An attractive 40 yr old aint phased by being called unc/auntie
