Is Bill Walton only player that can score only 6,000 career point still be considered a legend?

I wasn't alive to see him play in the 70's but I guess his playoff run was impressive on paper. I don't see why he is as iconic as he is when he only had like 2 or 3 good years.

who the hell said he was a legend?

his college career is way more impressive than anything he ever did in the pros....if he'd never gotten injured it would be another story tho

Bill Walton is known for his entire body of work as opposed to his NBA career, that being said, even though he was just a so-so scorer, his defensive prowess more than made up for it. He was also hampered by chronic injuries.

This threads long overdue...Bill Walton wouldnt even be an equivalent of David Lee if he played in this era. He'd be more like Kris Humphries with less rebounding

Two extremes in this thread. He wasn't the white Kareem nor is he David Lee like.
