Is black history month primary for AAs?

Carter G Woodson the creator of Black History Month/ Negro History Week has a poster that showed important dates from Black peoole in history that I recently saw posted on Twitter. I wish I could find it again. I was surprised somewhat to see it included the birthday of noteworthy African Kings etc

I also just saw he has written books on African history as well as Negro American history.

I just don't like the framing from people because

1 A great deal of Black History has been made by ADOS coincidentally because America is important in the world and our contributions given Black American Descendants of Slaves.

2. We are part of 1st world country and a super power we will be naturally centered given that Black History Month is celebrated and founded in America by an American.

The accusatory tone of it being some type of conspiracy against others of the African Diaspora and Continental Africans is undergirded by Anti ADOS/Native Black American sentiment, disdain for Native Black Americans and also anti American sentiment that spills over to multo generational Native Black Americans.

Plus a romantic Pro Pan African sentiment that prioritizes and valoriise African descended people who are not American

The thing is, and it's been discussed before, the founder of Negro History Week was purposely battling anti-Black propaganda from academia, the press, and entertainment media. Most of which was distorted to paint Africa in the most negative light possible. Rooted in that base of propaganda about Africa, came the myths about what African Anericans had accomplished and could accomplish.

Woodson challenged,,refuted , and corrected those lies. NHW was deliberate in presenting more accurate information about continental Africans, world history, and the contributions made by AAs to world and American history.

In the first Negro History Week materials distributed by Woodson, and in the articles and books put out by him in the previous decades, you will find features about AAs, Blacks from the rest of the diaspora, and continental Africans.
