All bullshyt aside, I couldn't fukk with itBlu dropped a dope azz double album tho. i havent even downloaded that new doom yet so i dont know. theres a reason im a stan, he so consistent with dropping DOPE music. mastered or not![]()

...apparently he wanted cassette quality but that shyt didnt translate well at all
Except Below The Heavens was his best project and he hasnt reached that level since![]()

Bishop could've been better I agree but Doom STILL using unused herbs?Hes been absent for a minute aside from that collab he dropped recently, yeah that was wack but I cant even blame him for that since he was behind the boards the whole time, the rapper he allowed to rhyme over his shyt was the reason the project came out as a disappointment. Cant fault him for that

I got hype off that single because it was a fresh beat but he couldn't cook up 9 new beats for the dude? After all this time?

Am I the only person that feels like HerFavoriteColo(u)r is better Below The Heavens? IMO, Blu has so much he hasn't done that I would have been disappointed if decided to hang it up anytime soon. He's been on record saying that he's doing projects with Flying Lotus, Madlib, Dela & Kev Brown and I'd like to see at least 2/4 of those projects.
HFC is my favorite also and its funny you mentioned MAdlib because I always felt that tape carried his signature style. It sounds like a tape they woulve made together had they decided to make a tape together, sorta like a Madvilliany styled project
I heard them before they were remastered and didn't bother going back. Noyork is trashExcept youre wrong since the good majority of his projects are mastered or were eventually mastered along the line and forming a discography extensive as the list below in the span of seven years shouldnt be considered lazy work ethic especially when 3 classics are included in the mix. Dude is probably more prolific than your favorite rapper and most likely has a better track record on the worth of quality material released

Yeah, the lo-fi loops with light drums definitely sounds Madlib-esque. I definitely think Blu is at his best when he keys in on a mood and expands on it across an entire project.

Above the heavens overatted.
He has no classics lol
