I don't know if he's a bust yet.. the new show could be a good one. And he seems like a really hard-working dude

That being said, I am personally not a fan of his because of his twitter personality. Dude is recklessly condescending toward fans who often times just seem like they want to have a convo. I'm sure he'd say he's just being authentic, it's his brand, he's not gonna filter his personality, etc. ok fine - but if your personality is that of a fukking prick, don't be surprised if you can't seem to find lasting mainstream appeal
Yeah as much as I like him his smartest guy in the room shtick gets agonizing

I fukk with Bomani. I didn't know his radio show was cancelled:ohhh: I guess the cacs who he triggered daily got their wish:francis:

My only grip with Bomani is he is always taking the feminist POV as gospel and ALWAYS takes the contrarian approach to anything black people like. Like Black Panther. He brought up that athletes taking kids to see Black Panther was counterproductive because of all of the violence in the movie:stopitslime:

I'm taking my 10 year old to see it. Not my 5 year old.

Yeah I think a 10 year can grasp the idea of fantasy violence. And really there was only one scene that your 5 year old might not like really. It wasn't as violent as Age of Ultron, in my opinion.

I hope y'all don't think this seeing this will change the trajectory of a 5 year olds life.

Its fine. Bomani is clown tbh

Bomani's show was not cancelled cause of cacs.

No one wants to here Bomani for 4 hours everyday. They shouldve made him get a co host.

I'm sure it wasn't cancelled cuz of cacs. I'm saying cacs hated him and always complained about him bringing up race during his show so now they're glad he's off the air. I agree he needed a co host. His producer was just a yes man and didn't challenge Bomani at all. That was annoying.

He admitted to seeing a therapist on the Evening Jones last night and of course got all emotional and defensive like a bytch about it. Dude is cracking.
You can tell he and his dad probably have a strained relationship. So he became an overachiever but still has self esteem issues and that's why he throws his money up in people's faces. He's a smart, awkward dude on the fringes of being cool or being a complete a$$hole. His dad probably doesn't treat his moms right and that's where the feminist sympathy comes from. He has some cool music insight, I didn't know he wasn't a Nas fan, that's probably why he stopped responding to my tweets, because I said Nas has just as many classic albums as Jay-Z.

I know people who work at espn. On and off air. People want to like him, but he makes it hard.

He's the type of nikka you are probably cool with, but wouldn't bring around your other probably closer friends.

I think it's quite the opposite. He speaks glowingly of his pops on the regular and talks wistfully of time growing up. Both his moms and pops are academics and were heavily involved in the Civil Rights movement.

I heard him mention seeing a therapist on Lebatard's radio show when they were discussing Jonathan Martin spazzing out on IG, sounds like it was a relatively new thing. Props to him for perhaps starting to feel like it was necessary; he brought up how a teenage relative of his recently committed suicide, that nobody saw it coming. That might be why he started seeing a therapist.

I've heard him talk about how his father was tough as well, maybe his father was very demanding of him and his brother. I'm sure he appreciates that fact that his parents were demanding because he has achieved a lot for someone whose main asset is his intellect in a genre where Black intellectuals in sports are mainly writing op-eds or books.

I agree but I think sometimes some of us start parenting like the stereotypes of white folks lol. I saw all types of wild shyt with my parents and was fine. Only stuff they didn't let me see that young was sex scenes but violence and cursing all day. It wasn't like I was going to curse in front of them and or shoot someone with a real gun. That's where parenting comes in at imo.
