Girl, I'm here for you
All those times at night when you just hurt me
And just run out with that other fella
Baby, I knew about it, I just didn't care
You just don't understand how much I love you do you?
I'm here for you
I'm not out to go out and cheat on you all night
Just like you did, baby, but that's all right
Hey, I love you anyway
And I'm still gonna be here for you 'till my dying day, baby
Right now, I'm just in so much pain, baby
'Cause you just won't come back to me
Will you? Just come back to me

In all seriousness though simping was kind of the norm in the 90s. Women loved that romantic stuff.

Where some of us are messing up is bringing simpishness into the 21st century.

Its a whole new ballgame in these streets.

Chris n em tried to tell yall.

Most r&b songs are simping.

Do you blame them? Women are the number one consumers of r&b so you give em what they want to hear.

Reminds me of a post I made a while back:

We all love old school R&B, but man, the simp messages were super cringeworthy looking back! :heh: :snoop:

[SPOKEN:]
Hey, come here for a second
I don't like the way he treats you
He doesn't deserve you
He really don't

What kind of man
Would leave you standing in the cold
Must've been a silly one
To sacrifice a pot of gold
You're the kind of woman
That needs a man that's always there
It's not that you require a lot
Just need some tender love and care

I give good love
I'll buy your clothes
I'll cook your dinner too
Soon as I get home from work
I'll pay your rent
Your faithful lover
Soon as I get home, soon as I get home from work
Girl, I'll treat you right
And I'll never lie
For all that it's worth
I give good love (good love, good love, good love, good love)

It doesn't make sense
That you should have a broken heart
If I were the only one
I'd never let you fall apart
You're the kind of woman
That needs a man with lots of cash
With a stack of major credit cards
And with me you don't have to ask

I give good love
I'll buy your clothes
I'll cook your dinner too
Soon as I get home from work
I'll pay your rent
Your faithful lover
Soon as I get home, soon as I get home from work
Girl, I'll treat you right
And I'll never lie or flirt
Soon as I get home, soon as I get home from work
Girl I'll be around, never let you down
For all that it's worth
I give good love (good love, good love, good love, good love)
I give good love (good love, good love, good love, good love)

[HOOK]

So you do all that for a chick who's never even shown she deserves all that shyt, yet after a hard day's work you're gonna come home AND cook dinner on top of it? So what was she doing for nine or more hours? Oh that's right, probably maxing out your credit card and getting her back blown out by that same dude who supposedly treated her bad!! :dead: :laff: :snoop: :camby:

Saying that though, this lyrics of this song are also shameful:

R&B showed the whole spectrum of relationships, good or bad. That's what made it so great....it had something everyone could relate too from simp to freaky shyt.

At least the overwhelming majority of the singers back then, male and female, were mad talented and made classics...which is more than what I can say for the trash that passes as music nowadays. :yeshrug:

It would be dope if simping actually worked. If you are a singing simp, you get the panties. If you just an average-joe simp, the only way you get the drawers is if she passes them to you to hold while she go fukks the guy who gonna cut her off afterword.

Giving a negative connotation to Boyz 2 Men music is exactly why RnB aint shyt right now.

Can't have it both ways.
