Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I'm not saying he is or isn't, just wanted to see y'all nikkas opinions. Me personally, I never thought B Roy was anywhere near the top of the league at his time and I think dude is very overrated cause of his physical demise. At best, dude woulda been Joe Dumars level if he had a full career.

What y'all nikkas think?

Theres no what if with Brandon Roy,he was an all star in the league and had the battery in his back before he got hurt...I dont remember if he was an ALL NBA during his career but i remember that Portland team with him Oden and LMA should have had next and he had that GW against the Rockets in the playoffs:wow:

Well, first of all, Joe Dumars is a HOF so not like he was a bum but I believe Roy could've been better (an inferior defender but much more of an offensive threat).

He's had basically his career cut short at like 25 and by that point he was a 3x All-Star/2x All-NBA and the 3rd best SG in the league behind Kobe/Wade.

Most importantly, he was injured before players like LMA/Batum hit their peaks. Don't think the Blazers could've gotten Lillard (even if that was the Nets pick) had he stayed healthy tho.

I think he played long enough we knew his game and what he was all about. Having watched most of his games, you felt like he was in his prime and you were going to get that for the rest of his career (had he been healthy).

When I think of "what if" I think of guys who show potential and it gets interrupted before they can realize any of it.

but at least we saw Yao work while healthy, Oden was never close to being healthy in the NBA and he was still doing 16/10 before another injury would take him out
Yea but we don't know how much better Oden would have gotten. I liked Oden but he came around the time the game was transitioning to small ball.

I get what you're saying, but the kid with barely any NBA experience was doing 16/10 on one leg, it's not a stretch to say he would've been an MVP
