This thread just got me hip to SP. Which album(s) is their best work? As far as influences go - think a lot of African percussion mixed with electronic space beats on some Sun Ra shyt. To me - Ish is pretty much has 'male Erykah Badu' energy, the same way Missy used to call herself 'the girl version of Busta'.
For me - Black Up is their best album. Lese Majesty was a lot more dense - I feel like it's a longer album and not as accessible. Quasarz: Born On A Gangster Star is my favourite of the two concept albums they did. I literally found out about their new album 'Don Of Diamond Dreams' that came out last month, looking for old merch this afternoon. That 'Fast Learner' is getting bumped on the balcony this Summer. shyt slaps
There's a single by the supergroup WOKE they have with Flying Lotus and Thundercat too.
Really though - if you're on a streaming service have an edible on a Sunday afternoon, and just go through the whole catalog.

shyt the whole album is stand out right down to how well it aged. I guess thats the response you get when every song is damn near perfect.
