Is buying a base model car with no upgrades a dumb decision?

I’m just trolling. I’ll probably get an SUV. Mainly need it for local stuff and I like to take road trips in the spring and summer.
I go for something more comfortable and just rent a car for trip.

I had one of those new Ford bronco and they are fun to drive and beat up but are really uncomfortable and utilitarian.

I also felt kind stupid driving a jeep as a daily driver. I do think the Jeep brand is a little nicer then Fords.

I also think if you’re gonna be working on your car it’s a good idea to get something nice. I did a little work on my Ford bronco but couldn’t believe how cheap the parts are even down to the nuts a bolts. Completely stipped a few screws.

They’re too top heavy, too high off the ground, and you can’t really weave well. I feel like the car gone tip over if I’m going to fast. I also just like sitting low.
I hate sitting low I like sitting up high. I drove a jeep for four years and I never feel like I was going to tip over or anything and I protected me well when I got hit by a deer.

Yeah, I’m not really a car guy. I just only care about having something to get me from point a to B but I do like the extra space and cargo space.

I don't understand paying for 1 year. Wait longer and cash out or pay down what you actually want. It's you dealing with it for the foreseeable future.
I like having a certain amount in my savings account and I prefer to make out my retirement instead

But I’m doing some house edition, such as the patio fence and deck and I’m paying straight cash for that
