SINY!!
Carter 2 was his peak if we are speaking in terms of quality, cohesiveness, etc. That would be his Blueprint/Stillmatic.

From a commercial standpoint hes done very well since....but he has been inconsistent ever since.

If you mean this in terms of C2 or one of his previous albums being his RD and Illmatic (I personally don't think he has an album anywhere near that caliber, but for the sake of the thread...), then C3 would definitely be the album that the critics/bandwagon fans/mainstream media hype as his Blueprint/Stillmatic (don't think he was one in those ranks either, but for the sake of the thread...).

Came in to say Carter 2 was his peak, music quality/content wise.

I doubt we get anymore great albums from him until he's wayy older and mature and actually cares about what he's saying, dude is still on this experimental , one-liner steeze. Its like he got off the drugs, got an epiphany and is living out his second childhood. I dont see the current Wayne delivering a Shooter, or Receipt type record.

:what: he is already in his thirties....he should have matured when he was twenty.

Carter 2 was his peak. He kept pushing the album back and when it finally released it went platinum. The streets was going crazy when it dropped.

Even tho Carter 3 went platinum too, this when he fell off and started doing all that singing shyt :scusthov:

Im hip but this nikka is singing and shyt, skateboarding (which I dont mind, everybody should have their hobbies), and dressing weird (animal pring jeggings, and bright green ugg/space boots). Carter IV was pure basura, havent heard that shyt more than once. He's still relatively a young dude (only 30). Hopefully at some point it in his mid-thirties he settles down and starts getting serious again.

Carter 2 was nice, but i thought the Drought 3 mixtape was his most impressive work, that was after carter 2 i believe.

05-09 was Wayne was at his best. Its The Carter II, Dedication Series, The drought Series, The Drought Is Over 2 (what was supposed to be the original Carter III), and hell even No Ceilings. After No Ceilings tho  I dont think he's released a decent project (Rebirth, Carter IV, Sorry4 The Wait, Dedication 4, IAMNAHB)

Carter one was Wayne's peak. Carter 2 was dope but he had already started regressing. And carter 3 is overrated and sounds like an album full of songs that were given 2 him. shyt was all over the place musically and nothing special lyrically. C3 is only hyped now because of how much it sold honestly.
