You just buying the Steam key and downloading it off of the client. Most of these places like CDkeys just have keys to put into Steam or a different client.

My girl has a Samsung where if you have a controller (PS/Xbox) AND account that you log into, you can play games on her TV.
A PC is different of course.
To be clear, I simply pay the price on the link and the game is available to play?
