ok, so let me break it down for you nikkas

5 that has a case

kareem - the best scorer, will get you the bucket no matter what, great defender early on
russell - the best defender and the best team guy
shaq - the most dominant, but lazy
wilt - 2nd most dominant with the best stamina
hakeem - the best scorer/defender combo, but too small

OUT
hakeem
- if hakeem sustained his prime longer he would've been in the mix. he gets left out because outside of those 3 peak years, he was mentioned in the same breath of ewing/drob. nothing more nothing less. ill take him out because his impact was not nearly long enough. his peak was great though.
shaq - 3 great peak year run. but got too lazy. could've been easily #1 with kobe's work ethic. had he maintained his playing weight at around 310lb he would've been sick.

so basically it's a 3 horse race between kareem, russell, and wilt

ok, so who's better between russell & wilt? answer is there no answer. russell clearly was the better team guy. if you want to win, you go with russell. but wilt got the stats and looked better on tape. this is where intangible comes in. russell's intangible was so great. it can't be ignored. but wilt put up monster numbers against him.

so basically russell and wilt kinda cancel each other out.

and so we are left with kareem

he got the stats. he got the chips. he got the awards. and he has that unstoppable move that worked for nearly 2 decades. and honestly this is why we put him at #1. cuz wilt/russell cancel each other out. if you watch the wilt documentary, wilt had a trouble against kareem because wilt was 35 and he just didn't have that freak athleticism anymore. but wilt actually figured him out.

yall nikkas don't understand how smart wilt was.

but i just can't put wilt at the top cuz russell had a better career and he won the chip against him. seriously wilt/russell really kinda cancel each other out.

i can't definitively say kareem is the GOAT, but i can't argue against him

so my answer is

KAJ THE GOAT CENTER.

no the fukk he ain’t. he’s only been able to win rings on arguably the greatest nba team ever. had a chance to do it on a regular elite team, but guess who stopped him?

these warrior rings have practically 0 leverage when it comes to determining KD’s place amongst the all time greats

foh

2 of Bron's rings are on a frontrunning team he created in the East....u wanna count those rings but not KD's:skip: Yall talk about Kobe stans but then you throw out this logic. First Kobe's first 3 titles dont count because he was Shaq's sidekick", now KD's titles don't count because hey he's the best player on his team, bu-bu-bu-bu-but he has help. FOH

2016 title will always be a VERY bright spot on LeBron's resume though.....KD will need to leave the Dubs to have a chance at a title even half as impactful. If both KD and Bron ended their careers with 3 titles Bron gets the upperhand easily. But what if KD wins 4-6 rings with the Dubs? None of them count? :pachaha:

How can you follow my posts so closely and not know what I am?

:russ:

And it’s well documented I am okay with Kawhi leaving. If I dig up those posts you gonna shut the fukk up or nah?

:sas2:

i dont follow your posts closely, you're just always in my notifications you mexicac. You're not black tho thats all I know and you probably think Kobe did it.

And you're "ok" with Kawhi leaving because you're a secret Bronsexual and you dont think Kawhi can win titles if he leaves SA. But IF he did win titles elsewhere, you'd be in every Kawhi vs Bron thread caping for your "King". Just admit your real agenda...

Wilt is the goat center

You can't clown steph for having no fmvps in 4 appearances when kareem got 2 in 10. 6 rings and 2 fmvps, so he wasn't the best player on his team for 4 of his rings. We're not talking about Jordan here with 6 rings and 6 fmvps. Wilt was more dominant, just didn't have magic and worthy.

Bird as the goat sf. Killer instinct. Better leader. No dramatics:mjpls:

you warriors/kd fans keep making that retarded ass argument even when it holds no weight.

get this straight: you don’t get to compare ANY championship winning team to the warriors now. there level of elite ness is absurd.

brons miami heat are nothing compared to GS.

kobe & shaq lakers are nothing compared to GS

fuvk even the ‘98 bulls ain’t shyt compared to this warrior team.

so basically you have no counter argument because i just blew your lame one outta the water.

i agree with your last paragraph....and yes KD can win a ring every year for the rest of his career in this particular warriors team and not a single one will mean shyt (except de l

This is why you don't use rings as your only Argument, KD is nowhere close to being the GOAT SF.

But i get it you're here to troll and get cheap daps from fellow kobe stans, so i'll let ya cook. :mjlol:

Kareem in hoops = Emmitt Smith in football

KAJ was a superstar from H.S. to college to the NBA. He led great teams and won all the individual and team accolades a player could hope for in their career. In theory he should be #1, but he's never really the first or even second person fans think about when talking about the GOAT.

Emmitt was the same way. Led a garbage H.S. to 2-straight state titles (in Florida mind you), national h.s. player of the year and Parade All-American, finished in the top 3 (when he graduated) all time rushers in high school ball ever (any state), all-american at UF when they were garbage and put up all the numbers in the NFL with the rings to match.

Both had great peak performance but also longevity. Unlike other players, there's no "what if." They did exactly what every athlete wants to do. Yet somehow both never seem to get the juice you'd expect given their accomplishments.

The gap isn’t close enough for it to be a debate.
And you know this.
KD gets one more ring and FMVP, and at the expense of bron losing again for the 3rd time in a row, that gap starts closing faster than you think. Bron maybe in the clear for now but that spot isn’t even safe.

Duncan and Jordan are the only clear cut best at their positions. PG/SF could change and the C has never been clear cut although Kareem should be the consensus.

:dead: boy y'all do anything to try and save face for this man LeBron and act like GSW is some insurmountable juggernaut. All the while at the same time calling them ”lucky” and being injuries away from not having any championships. So which is it?

It would take more than that.
And fair or not, Durant's going to take a massive legacy hit for joining the Warriors.

Even without it, I just don't see any metrics where Durant even sniffs Lebron.
James' accumulated value over replacement is more than double Durant's. And Durant has himself stated he doesn't intend to play late into his 30s and may retire as early as 35, so really the only way Durant "comes close" is if he continues this stretch of championships, playing at the highest level, AND public opinion changes massively (though candidly, that last part is less important in judging greatness).
