The more football I watch, the more I respect coaching. Some coaches seem to always have a good QB. Some always seem to have bad ones.

Of course I think there are QBs with varying skill. But some coaches get the best out of a QB and are able to get almost anyone to play well.

The Jaguars staff is new, so we'll see. But I have a feeling that if they can't get one of these QBs to look decent by year's end, they'll have QB issues for a while.

henne will always find work because he's big, has starting experience and has a strong arm. but if he's starting for your team, you're in trouble.

Care to share why?

I can't speak for him and I don't say I respect coaches less but for the most part its all about talent. The best coaches to me in college are the ones that can recruit the best. The best coaches in the pros to are the ones that evaluate talent the best.

Even Nick Saban said to someone hiring him " Do you think you are getting the best coach in the nation, well your not but you are getting the best recruiter"(paraphrased)

In the pros if you got a top 10 qb (actually production wise on the field) you have a the shot at the playoffs year in and year out. If you don't your usually doomed to at best mediocrity(or a wildcard) until you find "the guy". Asks teams like Jville, Cleavland, Buffalo how that works. How many coaches have these teams had? They all suck at xs and o's, I doubt it.

Then you get teams like Indy who get Luck right after Peyton Manning and the new coach looks like a genius. He could be but I put most of their success in the hands of the players.

Also a lot of the personell decisions in the nfl are done by the gm. To me and their almost as important if not more. I think I remember hearing Brian Beilick say its now a GM League.
Its about Jimmy's and Joe's not x's and o's.

Henne isn't bad imo, just been in bad situations all his career. Definitely better than Gabbart tho, but then again I bet at least 7 Coli members would be better NFL QBs than him.

This is a top 5 sports GIF, in my opinion. I remember watching that game. Henne balled out :russ:
