N.Y. State of Mind is probably IMO the best hip-hop song of all time. The technical prolificness(idk if this is a word) the storytelling, and the beat is so ahead of it's time. Also the fact that it introduced us to the greatest rapper of all time

the weak lyrics and weak beat... i already broke down that whole terrible album. its a whole song of a nikka sayin any random bullshyt he could think up with minimal lyrical dexterity. It comes off as a elementary drop out writing incoherent sentences just to finish some imaginary quota on lines...

"whether or not I get airplay I drink henny in the stairway" shyt is garbage man... Im sorry you cant see it
