Soon , arguably everything will be a flop .

Until the labels adjust to the times.

I guess Keef's multi-million dollar deal, film deal & beats by keef deal were all bullshyt. Nothing looks like it was spent on the album... :mjpls:

Chief Keef was doing nothing interesting to be honest. "Love Sosa" is like the Call Me Maybe of hiphop, big as a single and as an ironic hit but nobody buying that shyt.

how much money did Interscope put into Keef tho?

all his videos are low budget, and shot by the same dude...the only video they set up for him, he never showed up to.

cats on here are forgetting that all types of cats have failed on interscope...even on Aftermath/Shady/G Unit.

I wouldn't call her a flop though

She has at least 3 platinum plaques, hit singles, featured on big songs

Girl did her thing while she was there, lasted just as long as foxxy n em. Female rappers ain't gonna be hot forever

She did that on Ruff Ryders, who had distribution thru Interscope.... but when she came over to Aftermath, she got dropped.

i said she failed, not flopped.

Her, Busta,Raekwon,Joell Ortiz and Rakim are all examples of how shyt doesn't always work with Dre.

:heh:

Rotten Apple and Thoughts of a Predicate Felon never went platinum.

you don't remember when Game shyt on Banks for selling 48k his second week?

dude got a huge push from Interscope for that album, even had an episode of Miami Ink with him getting his album cover tatted on him.

Tony Yayo didn't even go old :heh: neither did Rotten Apple breh.

I agree with you, but Iovinne thought Keef was literally the voice of that young, reckless generation in Chicago and other cities - and would therefore sell to white people. Whoops

To be fair first time I heard a Chief Keef song was in a car with two jewish dudes bumping it in Montana.

You don't get whiter than that :skip:

For clarification,

We're not talking about the artist who never got green lighted. Just the artists who saw a full scale push and release. Yelawolf's release was green lighted by Shady and was clearly not a priority for Interscope.

Charles Hamilton may be the first failed venture, but it goes without saying to say he was all-around one of the most talented artists to have such an opportunity. You can tell by the way he speaks that he has an extensive knowledge of music and his perspective reaches a depth that is not typical to most people in our society.

Bruh, are we gonna act like Interscope really put resources into building Keef? His album dropped less than a year than his first major mixtape.

All the videos he's ever shot were incredibly low budget

Most of his production is in house.

Yall really reaching hard with the hate.
