At MJ's peak, copies of Thriller and Bad were as common as dish soap in households.

This is honestly not even a comparison. MJ is in an entire class by himself that will likely never be eclipsed. Mid 1980s MJ was the closest thing to a demigod the modern world has ever seen. He had folks from every corner of the globe dancing to his music.

He only has 2 decent albums. Aside from that, he's personified mediocrity outside of the decent single every now and then.

You can't be Michael Jackson just because you can sing and dance a little bit. That's not how it works..

I see the comparison in dance, but can somebody give me a musical justification for this?

I haven't gotten into CB's discography, but I don't see the musical comp. Please point me to CB's Off The Wall; his Thriller; his BAD. And I'll gladly give it a listen.

But if the musicianship isn't there, we gotta stop giving blanket comps off of one similarity. What made Michael. MICHAEL....is the entire package. The choreography, the live performance. The showmanship, the voice, the singles, the albums, consistently putting out timeless classic ALBUMS.

Somebody give me CB's Top 3 albums and I'll start there. Or mf's gotta chill with the Mike comps.
