I mean you might actually have a point far as Wall goes,I think alot of people are just tried of seeing Chris Paul not go as far as he supposed to in the playoffs, so now they look for players who are better or on the verge of being better to put over him.
'Shrug'
I don't think any other PG, not named Magic, could have done much to change CP3's fate.
CP3 played amazingly against the Grizzlies but couldn't stop Z-Bo and Gasol from destroying Jordan after Blake went down.
He was injured against the Spurs and he went against a team with two top 5 players on it and one of them being one of the two best players in the NBA AND it came down to a couple of calls and bounces.
In his 3rd season in the league he embarrassed prime Dirk in the first round and then heavily outplayed prime Duncan before barely losing game 7 that would have sent him to the WCF. If his teammates hit 2 more shots that game and the Spurs miss 1 does that somehow change the entire complexion of his career because he would have reached the arbitrary WCF benchmark?
I dunno, I've seen CP3 play for my entire life and I've never seen him play badly like..."Lebron in the Miami Finals" where I can say that this loss was on him. I don't think CP3 should be hurt because he's playing in a stacked confrence. If Wall got to the ECF, is he more successful than Paul or did he just play in an overall easier confrence.
