chuck d ranks at number 2 behind rakim for me. from yo bum rush the show to apocalypse 91 chuck d reigned supreme as the vocal point of public enemy with flavor flav bein' the greatest hype man in hip hop. chuck's voice and direct to the point approach to rhymin' is unlike any other. i hear many say but he doesn't really flow, where's his delivery? see, that's what makes chuck d unique and one of a kind. he has such a distinct voice and unorthodox flow and delivery that whenever you hear him you know who it is and more importantly it work(s)ed. his voice complimented the bomb squad's production and vice versa. then there's his content and subject matter. chuck d stayed on point with the lyrics and writin' on important issues.

that run from 87' to 91' is somethin' else too. chuck d is easily the number 2 greatest mc of all time imo
