Even with the "down" white folks who are hardcore Hip Hop heads, have trouble understanding classic R&B music that ain't upbeat, singing about black love. @Hey_zeus said this in another thread, but many older songs from the 90s a lot of CACs cannot understand. Do you believe that, Coli brehs?

I don't know about where you live, but here in NYC white hipsters fukk with R&B music heavy.

Bars all over Manhattan, even some old style Irish bars, spin old school R&B and soul music, sometimes dating back to the 50s.

One spot by my job I check often, Irish bar, has this one bartender who always spin his own playlist. If it ain't some 90s obscure Queens rap, he playing old school R&B.

Lots of white spots over here sound like this nowadays and you'd be shocked to find out its indeed some white hipsters IPhone you listening to.

Thag cats been out the bag over here.

That reminds of a time over the summer this old white guy pulled up at the gas station blasting Papa Was A Rolling Stone. When I was at my first college playing football this redneck on the team loved Jodeci and always wanted to play Get On Up before games

More specifically, they have an aversion for RnB/soul that leans too heavy into black American gospel styles.. especially vocally

They’d run from this sort of sound/musicality..

That’s why Jazmine Sullivan would never have the crossover appeal of an Adele.. not just because of her skin color, but her brand of musicianship.. it’s too close to the gospel roots.

That’s why Clive tried to water down Whitney’s gospel influence.

All I know is R&B festivals in the summertime have little to next to zero cacs in attendance regardless of where the festival is held.:heh: Hip Hop festivals tend to be cac’d out. :hhh:Especially old school Hip Hop festivals like Rock the Bells. Rap shows audience be looking like a Dave’s Matthews Band concert in 96’. :what:

White folks would listen to some good R & B but Gospel is advanced Blackitude.

You think Becky is playing The Violinaires in her ride? Maybe if she's from Mississippi and grew up around nothing but Black people but...
