You have to be honest about CM Punk. Punk cannot draw the passion by himself. He needs that force to piss him off. Punk can be based ether, but the problem is with Punk, is that his whole entire gimmick is needed on a force that will elevate him to do so.
If your boss came to you, and said, "We don't like your attire at this workplace." Punk would be that guy to push back. His promos need that force that push against him. Right now he is trying to force Triple H to be the "Bad Corporate Head'.
The issue is though, is that with the current storyline, Triple is far from a figure in authority. The story is so fukking stupid beyond measure, because creative were pulling shyt out of their ass. The issue was never with Orton and Bryan, or with Trips. It's with Stephenie and the Hollywood writers trying to Soap Opera this shyt. Soap Opera is purely fake, with wrestling there has to be a bit of truth.
Take L Hardy, everyone lost their shyt when he came back when Edge was fukking the shyt out of Lita. It was real, but made into keyfabe to draw people in.
Punk's influence is heavily based on being a rebel against the system, easy for him in the Indy's. It's like he is Green Day now in the WWE, which is why the promo against Cena to launch him into the WWE Title got over so well. Punk would need to bash Cena anytime he is WWE Champion for his promos to have fire. Cena can draw out Punk's energy.
