I know that CL is full of the crazies, but it doesn't charge me anything to sell stuff. If I remember correctly, Ebay takes a cut. Does Amazon take a cut too? What other websites are out there for me to sell all sorts of random shyt that makes its way into my apartment and that I don't need?

Nope craigslist is the best to buy stuff :blessed:Ebay is still the best place to sell cuz 9/10 times your item will sell:ufdup:If you sell on craigslist it could take a minute. I've made a killing this year off ebay :win:they do take a cut but most the time people on craigslist are very flexible cuz they're just trying to get rid of whatever they're selling or just need the money....I always make sure I can make at least $70 off of whatever I buy....you just gotta research on ebay how much whatever you're trying to sell goes for near the end of the auction...its a gold mine breh

I mean it really depened what you are selling my man
if your selling an electronics I would do craigslist so you can meet up with them and have no real mishaps

with ebay, if you just want to get rid of something, it'll probably sell and yes I hate the fees, but everything in general will sell here because of the bigger audience

etsy is for more vintage.retro old fashion things will sell on there

Depends on if your item is a high market item. If you're selling an Ipad or something like that then yeah you could move it on CL easily.

I "obtained" a $400 KitchenAid mixer some years ago when I was into some shady things and it sat on CL for 4 months before an old ass lady finally wanted to buy it. I didn't want to put it on ebay cuz it was heavy as fukk and shipping would've raped me.

So it really depends solely on what you're selling and how soon you want it gone. Also, people on CL are gonna try to low ball the fukk out of you.

I appreciate the feedback.

Does Ebay charge you per posting?, per month?, or do they take like 10% off everything? I know EBAY has been around since forever, but what are the latest rules looking like?

you pay 10% on what you sell but it comes in like a bill form so you dont have to pay it right away, like at the end of the month. plus the paypal fees.

beware of their buyer protection shyt though

I'm def. not gonna sell anyone anything that is broken or less than advertised, so I shouldn't have to worry about any "buyer protection" stuff, right?

The simple thing about selling on Craigslist is to always price above what you actually want. For example, if want to sell something for $200, you wouldn't go on Craigslist and post an ad saying you're selling it for $200 because the first thing people do will low ball you. Always price at least $40-50 of what you actually want. Works everytime for me.

Ebay or if you are moving quantity Amazon is the best.

Craigslist is great if your moving big items like a weight bench.

Craigslist sucks for selling stuff. It's a buyer's market. Most people go on there looking at random stuff and offering lowball offers. Many will wait you out because they know nobody paying top dollar on there.

People on eBay are actually looking to buy the stuff you're selling. They bid it up to fair market value as buyers compete. There's really no competition on Craigslist. You can list something and go damn near a month before getting an offer if at all. If you aren't selling for pennies on the dollar forget about it.

The problem with eBay is Paypal and eBay take their fees off your money. The gamble is do you wanna lose those fees and maybe make more or get straight cash and maybe get less? sometimes it balances out. Most times you get less on Craigslist.

Now if you're selling hot hard to find items the rules change. I've been trying to sell my iPhone 5 for a few weeks I've had two callers and both flaked out after promising me they'd buy it. There's a lot of broke people on Craigslist who can barely afford what they're offering you. They aren't the ideal buyers.
