So one of my fellow (petroleum) engineer's was completing some paperwork (like the rest of us) that needed to be signed for our next project coming up in a couple of months.

So I noticed that his hand writing is sharp and clear; no sloppiness at all but when it was time to sign his signature like the rest of us he wrote his name in PRINT.

It's not a big deal or anything since our job is really heavy duty but I was wondering is script writing still an necessity in today's work environment?

I figured certain employers would look at stuff like that when it comes to making their decisions :yeshrug:
what employer have you ever had to write by hand for? :dahell: if anything some retail job application or some shyt and aint nobody want your loopy connected cursive on those

cursive was a big ass waste of time, i remember learning it in 3rd or 4th grade and remember exactly the next year (4th or 5th grade) the teacher told us DO NOT TURN IN ANYTHING IN CURSIVE...other than signing your name (which I'm seeing a lot of people sign in print these days....plus some people have a fukking illegible signature anyway) there is absolutely no use/need for cursive. a lot of people have shytty print writing, and god damn, when cursive enters the picture might as well be reading arabic

Would have made him redo all the paperwork. How the fukk you smart enough to be an "engineer" but not smart enough to do something as basic as cursive?

When I was younger, you'd pick up a paper and you almost never saw any spelling or punctuation errors. Since most things are digital, you see professional articles online with constant errors with corrections all the time because they wanna be the first to 'Breaking News'.

Gotta draw the line somewhere before people can't even read anymore.:yeshrug:
