what employer have you ever had to write by hand for? :dahell: if anything some retail job application or some shyt and aint nobody want your loopy connected cursive on those

cursive was a big ass waste of time, i remember learning it in 3rd or 4th grade and remember exactly the next year (4th or 5th grade) the teacher told us DO NOT TURN IN ANYTHING IN CURSIVE...other than signing your name (which I'm seeing a lot of people sign in print these days....plus some people have a fukking illegible signature anyway) there is absolutely no use/need for cursive. a lot of people have shytty print writing, and god damn, when cursive enters the picture might as well be reading arabic
I get what you're saying but I'm talking about this....
Nah what I mean for instance is like...

See how when you fill out certain paperwork and there's a line saying "PRINT NAME" & the other saying "SIGNATURE" but you write your name in PRINT on both lines.

You don't think employers look at that?

yea, but like i said, a lot of people have print signature these days, the only reason they asked for both back in the day is because cursive/signatures are ridiculously hard to read if not completely illegible, example:

if your signature is print, that's fine

Having good grammar is more important in business than writing in cursive. One should still know how to write in script though. If you're writing a handwritten letter, it'll look better in cursive.

Can't front, there was a point that it had been so long since I've used cursive on a day to day basis that I forgot how to connect some of the letters. Started writing shyt again like I'm in grade school to recall

Businesspeople do. If you're a school lunch lady or something, this doesn't apply to you

bet you think you had one...

nice to know you work in the 1950's...we type letters and send it via this thing called email, you might have heard of it? maybe something gets written by hand as an addendum or in a greeting card, and no one gives AF if it's cursive or not.

I mean his handwriting was clear and readable but when it came down to signing his name on the PRINT line and SIGNATURE line he wrote in print on both. It wasn't a big deal tho just something I noticed :yeshrug:
I mean there is no legal binding to have a signature be in cursive... Just like official documents are not required to be in blue and black ink, just most people expect it:yeshrug:

But with that being said, you set yourself up for easier forgeries unless you are "signing" your name in front of someone.
People usually have distinct and discernable cursive signatures that are harder to duplicate.

But in all, it don't really matter cuz people don't know grammar and spelling anymore compared to before so....:hubie:

Just seems like a basic skill to me and I look down on adults who can't read or write it and are not foreign nationals:ld:

I purposefully sign checks (or anything else) with some illegible scribble. :lolbron:
