Is cutting cable really worth it if you use multiple streaming services

Yep definitely just off the strength of not having Comcast or anyone else have you in a stranglehold for all of your cable and internet services.

if I need to switch or cancel something, has no effect on anything else I’m doing. Plus you aren’t in a contract or anything for streaming services

I can see that changing in the near future. These companies are too greedy and with everybody and their mama creating a streaming service for their content, they will become desperate to keep subscribers.

Paying for Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, HBO GO, and the premium streaming channels, almost adds up to the cost of cable. And CBS wants to charge you to stream too.

Don't forget Disney which is coming soon as well.

It was cool at first cause you didn’t have many options out here, but now it’s fukkin ridiculous. Ok... you got the Internet, Netflix, hulu, Amazon, and then you might have Apple Music or some other music service. The nickel and dime shyt is crazy. Also why would I pay money to watch network shows that I can get for free on regular tv?

QUESTION for Cable cutters

My Cable and Internet come up to $117 a month after taxes

• Digital Starter 140+ Channels
• Blast!® Internet Download speeds up to 200 Mbps

I pay for Netflix and i have Hulu from my cousin. I subscribe to HBO-GO maybe 3 months out of the year to watch a few shows and then i cancel. If i were to cut my Cable and just keep the internet it would still cost me $100 after taxes.

Is it worth it for me to do this? Is there any of these boxes and hacks that can give me access to some cable networks?

I have Netflix/Apple TV/Amazon Prime it's more than enough i may get 3-4 hours in per week excluding sports which i stream....

i don't understand how folks can just come home and watch tv til' they fall asleep everyday

I got an idea for an invention. Since everybody and they momma got a different streaming service, what if i could consolidate all of them to one app or a box (like fire tv, roku, appletv). All your streaming services in one convenient package, all in once place. Maybe even for fun add a random play mode, where it plays random episodes of TV shows and movies, puts them on different channels. Once it takes off, I can start bundling it with other services. Like internet or phone.
