If you listen to Mississippi the album 1 and 2 then you'd know he was always like that. My personal favorite off the 1st was Bush. Dude was dope but his message kinda got lost because he was considered a crunk rapper.

You got this David Banner...

Then you got this one...

Idont, i understand ppl grow but he act like he forgot who he once was.
I respect that Banner has grown up but like dude said in this thread (and OP), he went from Like a Pimp to this wanna be spitting knowledge type of cat, but he doesn't even acknowledge what he came from, music wise. I was pissed when they stopped the beat at the BET cipher like he was bout to spit some ill shyt and that nikka ain't really say shyt
:dahell: are ya'll talking about

:snoop: He didn't switch anything up

He was spittin real shyt on his first album. Like a pimp was just the single to grt some mainstream appeal.
Lil flip blessed him:ohlawd:

Word Dude is talented and wasn't ever a "pimp" just made good music. He was a producer and and MC and got a multimillion dollar deal back then. I remember when he got that deal and I was like damn this shyt crazy. The South wasn't even all the way blown up yet.
