Some of y'all missing the point if the thread, I'm basically saying it's more important to have defense at the five, shyt even at the swing positions that at the PG.

Then you guys knock on Curry and Lillard when in reality they do what their team is designed to do, funnel players to Bogut/Lopez and let him protect the rim

Even if your PG is a lock down on ball defender, how many people can he effectively guard? Just his position.

Why have all these star point guard burning their energy trying to stay in front of other stars, when more times than not, they are big in their teams offense and can't afford to take on that toll?

I think the ability to do it in key moments should be a sought after trait.

Its probably unrealistic to have a great PG also killing himself trying to be a lock defender..playing heavy minutes for many years, all 82 games plus playoffs. He will probably get hurt.

Id say yes it is

Yeah, nobody is doing anything close to this though :russ:
Yeah not for a full game. But every time I watch the Grizzlies, there's a few plays where Mike Conley will lock up the opposing PG or won't let him get the ball & fukk up whatever play they're running. & these plays usually end up in a turnover or a bad shot
