Derrick Henry wouldn’t be putting up these numbers currently anywhere else. RBs look good playing with Lamar.
He helps Lamar as much as Lamar helps him, Lamar's never been as difficult to scheme. He'd do damage with other guys too but they def help each other

The age is what it is, he's going on 31 obviously not as sharp as 26-27 Henry regardless of what numbers say. Just like Andre Johnson, Henry's been with shyt QBs his whole career, imagine 26 yo Henry numbers if he had another MVP giving him the ball. You're seeing a watered down version rn which is scary lol

Henry was option 1 in Tenn and you could see the decline the last two years especially. Any steps lost almost doesn't matter here because the defense has to stop Lamar first and that's still a big nikka going downhill making nikkas make business decisions so it works and should still work next year if healthy

Wouldn't be doing this "everywhere" but he already did shyt like this pre-Lamar...

The biggest advantage for him in Baltimore is how freely he can run before contact, with Ricard and that OL ahead of him, and the fact defenses can never sleep on Lamar. That's what he's benefitting from...

But he's always been a dominant runner, the Ravens didn't make him that...

He is holding off Father Time so far and after a slow start still has over 1,400 yard rushing. He is still a 3 down back but the Ravens need to find him a backup next season. They can't keep depending on him to carry the ball 300 times a year after this season. But we should all enjoy him while we can cause he is the last of the every down backs or at least one of the last few left cause I can't forget about JT. Don't know where he will finish at all time on the rushing list but I do know that he is an all time great by any metric and anything less than first ballot will be a travesty.

10th All-Time leading rusher, who will likely hit his 5th 1500-yard season next week (31 yards away).

dikkerson and Sweetness had four 1500-yard seasons. Bettis and Gore had 1. LT and Emmitt had 3. Martin and AD had 2. Barry had 5.

Those are the guys ahead of him on the list. You could make the argument that Derrick Henry is better than all these guys. We are all older and mostly cling to the heroes of our youth, so thats a hard pill to swallow for many guys. He definitely has a case as the greatest ever.

Keaton Mitchell/Hill/Ali are suitable backups for Henry.
The Ravens can depend on Henry to carry the ball over 300 times next season.

The offensive line and our coaching staff played a big part in slowing Henry down

Embarrassing

That post is from October 2023 (prior to joining the Ravens)
Not too many people watched the Titans games besides the rare prime-time game

....The Ravens are the most talked about team that people don't watch....
The conversation around the Ravens is NBA Twitter/First Take surface level babble

It's embarrassing to ASK as I didn't watch him during the 2023 season?

Was I better off pretending to watch Titans football? :mindblown:

He and AD are the only players I ever said could have gone to the NFL out of HS. I didn't watch him. Should I coli pretend?
You dudes are trash.

He probably can carry it another 300 times but it probably wouldn't be prudent to do so. Time to save him a little bit of wear and tear at this point if you can.

The convo makes sense only if the Ravens win a Super Bowl this season, and god forbid Henry has a lower-body injury late in the off-season (August/September 2026).
