The biggest thing is obviously how his body will hold up. He's not your typical 31 year old though. He's a freak or nature genetically and takes great care of his body.

I think he ends up being #10 after this year with a chance at taking that #9 overall spot.

I think he'll finish at least #6 overall IF he wants to play three more years including this year. I'm going to say he finishes #4 all-time, but if he plays four more years, I can see him finishing second all-time.

So on Sunday he passed Steven Jackson to become #18 on the All-Time rushing yards list (11,592); and passed Jim Brown to become #6 on the All-Time rushing touchdowns list (108).

As a reminder, in 9 complete seasons, Derrick Henry has a 2000-yard season (2027 in 2020); an almost 2k season that was the most yards for a 30+ back (1921 in 2024); and an injury-shortened 2021 season that had him on pace for ~1991 yards if he played the full year.

This mf has flirted with 2k yards three times.

He's in Year 10 and over his career, its clear he's the greatest running back of his generation. Its not even close. Nobody else has this level of production over this span of time....NOBODY.

That fumble the other night broke my heart but great players make mistakes, it happens. He's probably the most secure running back ever, don't believe me, go look at the top rushers of all time and look at their fumble rates, compared to Henry.

You can tell me he's not the best running back you've ever seen if you value someone else stylistically. But you can't tell me he ain't one of the Top 10 greatest backs to play this game, EVER. I don't care who you think has to be taken out to make room for Henry. He's in.
