If we're talking "legend" I feel like it's more than just their impact on the game. Kinda how they impacted the face of the game and how they were viewed in popular culture. He was a great player, a hall of famer, and to this day people still do his finger wag not even just on the basketball court, and everyone knows who's move you're doing. Maybe was never a SUPERSTAR, but he's basketball legend IMO.

He was a defensive juggernaut...that's it...I'd put him below Morning, equal to Ben Wallace and above Ewing in overall ratings.

But no, he's not a "legend"

Ben Wallace couldn't guard anyone head up. Sheed was their best on the ball defender. And Ben Wallace wasn't a shotblocker at all. He was an physical and scrappy presence.

This is a solid argument right here breh :salute: never thought about it like this. I was thinking about it more as "legendary skillset" which this nikka does NOT have but the word legend means more than just specifically basketball talent/skill, so it's kinda unfair of me to discredit his legend status by focusing strictly on on-court ability:ehh:

Dikembe is in the same vein as Rodman where he will be legendary for his defensive presence and a template any player over 6'8 should look to for how to improve their D in the paint and rebounding if they are athletic enough.

top 10 DEFENSIVE center easily

Exactly, I feel his off-court persona and being a trail blazer for African players is definitely part of it

i actually had the :what: face like of course he’s a legend. he went to the finals with A.I. and his whole career he’s been a reliable defensive center. great shot blocker and rebounder. hustle player. man i remember this nikka trying to defend Shaq and getting bumped and elbowed in the jaw and shyt. plus for his gifs alone.

He was the only center I remember causing a problem for PRIME Shaq.
