His rapping isn't that good but now doesn't sound annoying with his voice getting high.
His singing is good but not that good although he went in on Riot. My favorite vocal performance by him.
His stand up isn't that good.
He's a good comedy writer though.

No I am not, I just know the history of past entertainers.
Like, people are so eager to crown people off of ignorance and only know about shyt that happened ten years ago.
Entertainers were singers, dancers and actors in history for the most part. This specialization is recent.
You over here calling Donald Glover top 5 like Charlie Chaplain don't exist or Lena Horne don't exist.
When the man is only good at two things and only been well received for Atlanta, his role in Community and his latest album.
People do the same thing about Jamie Foxx as if he got a top 10 special, although the man is funny.
I mean Kevin Smith is a comedian, actor, director, comic book writer, and screenwriter is he top 5?
You have to actually be ranked for your efforts to count. You can't just do stuff and add it to your resume.

He wouldn't say that. In fact he usually says he considers his greatness based upon his ability to play with his contemporaries. Just the fact that he was able to play with Dizzy and Charlie and John and all the others made him feel great. Outside of that he has said that there is no great and that you can't rank art. For whatever reason in this country we like to rank greatness, instead of pooling greatness. There always has to be a best--which can't happen since everything is subjective and there is more than one measuring stick--and there has to be one above all. I think pooling greatness works better for art because it allows for criticism without the need to rank it amongst other great works of art. It doesn't need to be great but not greater than. It can be great along with other greats.
That's just the way I feel. I fall for it too when it comes to music, musicians, artists, writers, even sports figures. It's impossible to objective say who or what is best.

Jamie Foxx and he did it much better.
Serious and comedic Acting and he brought home an Oscar.
His standup is actually funny.
He also made better music in a more competitive generation.

Also me saying hes not a master of a craft isnt a shot to him, a lot of these so call masters or pure directors, actors, writers, singers, rappers, producers, and performers are much worse than what Donald dabbles in.
