Dragon ball is responsible for a lot of the things in anime that people complain about in today's anime, like the idiot hero who always wins insurmountable odds or characters who are introduced with interesting powers potential and just fall to the wayside in favor of new "chosen" characters. . As good as dbz were/are. Rurouni Kenshin and YYH were better written shounen. You know what I mean?
