Is Drake really losing favor from the public? He last three songs have more dislikes than likes.

He didn't come back stronger. He sold less with BP2 than BP1. He got a worse critical and street response. To where he re-released the album with a new single and half the songs. He also "retired" to get the public back on his side. Prior to that. Son was def seen as falling off. Or atleast heavily effected by the battle. Yall removing context to make shyt seem sweeter than it was. This is why we always need people who lived thru this type of shyt to speak the truth because history gets switched up like crazy.

I'm probably older than you bru

Bp is a high standard to live up to or recapture for any artist

And maybe stronger isn't the right word I'll admit

But Ether wasn't as impactful as you're making it seem. J was still considered to be a top rapper by most circles and continued to move more units than most his peers

BP2 debut at number one on the billboard 200 November 2002. Was already 3x platinum by December 2002

BP2.1 was dropped in 2003

And whatever goodwill or fanfare J lost he quickly regained with albums like The Black Album (03) which did 463 k it's first week. Wouldn't attribute the numbers to him "retiring" considering his prior success

Drake is in a different position, facing different allegations so it's not a great comparison anyways

And again, it was 3X platinum because it was a double album that only needed to clear 1.5 million units shipped to get a 3X platinum certification.

Jigga told yall, it’s only so long…

I’m genuinely, sincerely, shocked it took yall this long to see how corny this kid was, lol, it’s unbelievable actually. Salute tho, lol, better late than never, 🤷🏽‍♂️, I like some of his songs too
A nerdy half white, jewish kid from Toronto making it this big in rap is actually one of the most shocking things that has ever happened in music history.

Family Matters was everything Kendrick highlighted on Euphoria. The accents, the unoriginal style, fake mob boss character, lying on his family, even how he said nikka was some hoe shyt. :heh:

So when it dropped everyone was like well yea Kendrick did say you was gonna do this :dahell:

It meant nothing because Kendrick had already called him out on that shyt.

y’all really thought people was feeling Drake telling a Compton nikka about gang culture? :heh:

Admitting he got robbed for his watch? :heh:

Saying Kendrick like he gonna get the slaves free? :heh:

Telling Kendrick he a dog but he play sweet? :heh:

Or when he told Kendrick girl to shake her ass? :heh:

Saying The Weekend singing made him reach for his waist ?:heh:

What world y’all living in?

Y’all really think it was cool he said come get Pharrell chains? Like he stole them off Pharrell :heh:

The reason people don’t like the song is because Drake is the exact person Kendrick said he was. :heh:

Y’all got this thing mixed up somewhere. :dahell:

Came in to say something similar but you summed it up nicely.

"Family Matters" will fall to #48 next week.

Reading that thread is hilarious because Drake fans talked as if it's a GOAT tier diss record....but stopped listening to it after 3 weeks.

Any Drake related post on IG got hate comments quoting lyrics, these ain't bots.
Agreed. Ak tryna spin the narrative lol

I actually have to give Ak credit, he initially ran with the "it's bots!" angle but admitted it's probably not bots when he went into the comments and seen there was no duplicates. Which is usually a sign of bots.

I just wish we all could've seen the look on drake's face when it happened. The euphoria slowly slipping away

He does need to lay low for a bit. Bad timing on this Sexy red single but when he drops his own stuff he'll be fine, numbers wise.

Surprising but not nearly as shocking as Drake.

It's not just being white, white guys have had careers in rap. Like you said Eminem, and Beastie Boys were huge.

But Eminem and Beastie Boys pretty much leaned into to his white audience heavily. Sure they had black fans, but not like Drake.

Drake really had street nikkas, white people, college kids, women, high schoolers, 9 to 5ers etc...all fukking with him. He had everybody fukking with his music. Every club, house party, outside function they playing Drake. Nobody playing no Eminem or Beastie Boys at no outside events, at least none that I'm going to lol. Maybe some white frat parties, but that's about it.
