I get why lots of people don't like 40 Water. Really I do, but I just feel sorry for yall. You're missing out on so much amazing music that you could be jamming to, its just sad :to:

Breh I feel the same way. I know in the beginning his music could be an acquired taste to some, but when you get it, its like:whoo:

I tried to make a stingy E-40 playlist with my favorite cuts from his solo albums, but that shyt still got like 173 songs on it:mindblown:.

I will be jamming out to that playlist for like a week.

:rudy:

Some of the greatest produced project for an independent artist and Mac Dre's delivery is one of the greatest deliveries hip-hop's ever seen.

If you like Slick Rick, if you like Shock G . . Mac Dre is the more colorful advancement upon their deliveries. Mac Dre spans 3 eras of hip-hop music, he's a legend and an icon.

Top 10...no...hell no, but he's a noteworthy artist who's really kind of an acquired taste I find. Not everybody is going to understand him or his approach, to be on that level you should be unique yet able to communicate with the audience at large effectively. Listening to E-40 rap, especially when you're a square is like deciphering morse code

Pretty much how I feel...

He is pretty much the Hov of The Bay and it seems like every since Tell Me When To Go come out back in 05 it resurrected his career and now he is bigger then ever (in The Bay).

i never understood the cult like following this dude had out here, maybe he was payin a lot of mothafukkas rents or some shyt but i couldn't be bothered listening to that weak shyt

because he didn't give a shyt what the next man thought.... and made it work well enough that he build a subculture around himself..... yes he was swagged the fukk out.

Same way your cousins from wherever were more than likely trying to be carbon copies of whomever was popular in their neck of the woods.

What do you think "swag" is? You don't give a shyt enough about the next man's opinion of the way you do things to copy them.....

people see that you're being yourself and admire it enough to copy you.

"furly ghost" and all.

That album you posted up there is some of his best work, BTW.

Genie of the Lamp
Early Retirement
Out There
My Alphabets
ErrThang
Nondescriminant
Not My Job
Hotel, Motel
Two Times and Pass
Make You Mine
Crest shyt
That song with tthe sample from Joni Mitchell's Blue....

all on one album. 4.5/5.

yea.... by your logic lil b is top 3 d.o.a because "he doesnt give a fukk what people think" about him. right? u see how that doesn't make sense when judging a rapper's skill?
his delivery was trash, subject matter especially on his late albums were all garbage, some loser shyt i could never relate to... droppin ecstacy and making faces n actin like an idiot :rudy:

:dead: @ "I don't fukk with it if it don't bear the stamp
I'm thizzlamic the genie of the lamp
I can go fifteen rounds with the champ
And bother a bytch, like some cramps"

real complex rhyme scheme. thought provoking, ground breaking subject matter. the way he rhymed stamp with lamp, champ and cramps, amazing abilities :snoop:
are we listening to the same song? listen to the beat on this shyt. u guys trolling me with this mac dre top 5 shyt?
